Far From Home
I’m in a black and white phase at the moment, no telling how long it’ll last.
Far from home, sliding down the continent and traveling alone for the first time in a while, I stopped and acknowledged in Mexico City, with some self portraits and cityscapes, a feeling of separation and loneliness that someone else in a similar situation could maybe fall headfirst into. With the same 35mm Canon AE-1 and Ilford HP5 400 black and white film combination, I did the same again in Puerto Escondido and on the way back north on a detour to Baltimore on the East Coast.
If you’re traveling and staying in bare bones hotels, always try to get a room with a desk as a minimum, I’ve aching elbows, back and neck from trying to write on beds and propped up on the floor.
